Multidisciplinary Proyects
Through intensive week-long or month-long programs, I was able to work with architects, designers, and artists to ideate and prototype a series of new creations.
Brick of the Future
2016
In a week-long Emergent Surfaces course, I was inspired by Japanese assemblies to create a modular brick that could be put together in various ways. Also thinking of incorporating technology into bricks, the idea was to add electric paint to the crevices of the brick so that the brick could also have connectivity.
My main contribution was the incorporation of technological aspects into the brick as well as the CAD design and 3D printing of the prototype.
CareCart - App
2019
This project, the app, and the product prototypes were designed as a new system of shopping for groceries in an eco-conscious manner. The app was designed to accompany you through your purchasing journey and track your patterns to optimize your purchases.
CareCart - Products
2019
Besides the app, the creation involved a variety of reusable items, from bags to modular containers, to make the shopping experience as easy as it should be and as wasteless as possible.
In the whole of the project, I worked on the ideation of the system that could make these products work together, the simulation of the app, and the prototype of the water bottle.
Avilert
2019
Avilert was a semester-long project with the idea of creating a mechatronics device that could be viable, feasible, and desirable to launch onto the market while solving a social issue.
In the end, we created a product that was meant for a company to purchase for their employees with hearing loss, to function as an alarm. This alarm would work to notify them of alarms that are sound-based (such as earthquake alerts in Mexico City), and it could also work as a personal alert device.
The whole project is something I would love to showcase, but I think the visual presentation of what we did is a better way to demonstrate it.
My contributions can be seen throughout the whole of the project, since it was truly collaborative work, from the logo to the actual working prototype, but I was in charge of creating the functioning product, its interface, and the business model to make it work.
From Ideation to Creation, this is the journey of Avilert
There may be no better way to communicate what we do than through images. As you browse our site, take a few moments to let your eyes linger here, and see if you can get a feel for our signature touch.
